Our festival will be held in the centuries old surroundings of Holland Hall in Upholland on 20 & 21 October. The Hall itself dates back to 1654

Not that it needs much introduction, having been around since 1654 and probably as well known in the area as Orrell RUFC and Winstanley Park Cricket Club. However, did you know that since it's recent (and ongoing) refurbishment, it now houses the Ultimate Purveyors Fish & Steak Restaurant, The Robert De Holland Pub & their Wedding, Events & Conference Suites?

Both Orrell RUFC and WPCC are delighted to be working with Holland Hall and its team to host our very first Octoberfest (aka the Beer, Gin & Prosecco Festival). Read on to find out just a little bit more about the hotel.

Holland Hall is a Grade II listed 17th-century (1654) hotel offering bright, modern bedrooms with period features. On site we have The Ultimate Purveyors Fish & Steak Restaurant, The Robert De Holland Pub & our Wedding, Events & Conference Suites. We are less than 5 minutes from junction 26 of the motorway.

Rooms at Holland House boast a mixture of period furnishings & modern amenities. Guests can make use of flat-screen LCD TVs with Freeview, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, toiletries, and king-size beds. Some rooms also feature idyllic country views and mahogany furniture.

Guests can visit the onsite Robert De Holland Pub, which includes original 17th-century features, a feature fireplace and contemporary decor. The bistro serves a variety of pub classics & some modern fayre made from local, seasonal produce, including “The Ultimate Pie which the owner sent into space!

The hotel is set in an area of outstanding natural beauty and is surrounded by woodland so guests can enjoy excellent views of the adjacent Dean Wood Golf Course and the surrounding forest. Wigan is 10 minutes’ drive away as is Skelmersdale.

We are perfectly located for both Business & Leisure. Easily accessible from the surrounding Motorway network, great location for walking & exploring the local area, dog friendly in our pub & in the Bedrooms. With Liverpool, Manchester, Preston, Cheshire & The Ribble Valley close by you can explore to your heart’s content!
