Not long now until the start of the 2017/2018 season. We can’t wait for our first game of the season vs Wigan RUFC on 2nd September. So, gearing up for the new season, we thought you might like to meet some of the backroom staff, who keep our great club running.

First up is Dave Hewlett our Commercial and Sponsorship Manager. In Dave’s own words he sees his role as “To be quite honest most of what that role entails is going round begging, cajoling, pleading or using whatever legal methods I can possibly use, to relieve you of your hard cash to sponsor the Club”

So why do we need a sponsorship manager? Well the first need is to finance the day to day running of the Club and secondly, in the longer term, to raise “loadsa money” for our Field of Dreams project, the Orrell and Winstanley Community Sports Club.

For this season, 2017/18, we have sponsorship opportunities starting at £25 going up to – well the sky’s the limit!!

A few examples:
• £25 to sponsor a Match Referee
• £50 to sponsor the Match Ball
• £200 to sponsor a 1st XV match day.
• £100 to sponsor a number on the 1st XV shirt Nos 1-22

There are various other sponsorship opportunities involving advertising and support of the 2nd XV, Mini and Junior section, Touch Rugby and the Ladies and Girls teams.

We can tailor your budget to match your sponsorship of the Club and to give you maximum exposure, as an individual or as a company, through the match day programme, club website and social media platforms. We'll be highlighting some of our sponsors (new and old) over the next couple of weeks.
