it could be just the fresh challenge you need to shake up your fitness routine and work on getting healthier ahead of summer.
England Rugby’s Inner Warrior campaign offers women a less daunting way of broadening their horizons as it encourages women to step out of their comfort zone with a fun introduction to rugby. During ‘Warrior Camps’, women are encouraged to unleash their inner strength and determination as they embrace the challenge of trying a new sport.
So why not come along and join Orrell RUFC at St John Rigby College on Wednesday, 22nd May starting at 6.00pm. Anyone over the age of 12 is welcome to come along and "give it a try". All you’ll need to take part are a pair of trainers, your usual workout gear and a ‘have a go’ attitude...
Join the movement
Since January 2017, over 10,000 women across the country have given rugby a try at their local Warrior Camp. Why not join the thousands of other like-minded women who wanted to try something new?
Come along and bring a friend, or your mum or your sister or your grandma and experience rugby in a fun and friendly environment. The Warrior Camp offers an introduction to the basic skills of rugby through team-based activities that foster bonds between participants.
Rugby gives women the chance to build new friendships with like-minded people through a shared passion for breaking barriers and trying new experiences. You’ll build friendships through strong camaraderie, as players rally around each other to support and encourage teammates on and off the pitch (as our Orrell RUFC Vixens will testify to).
You can just turn up and watch or throw yourself in at the deep end and join in! Words of encouragement can be found by ringing organiser Ian Hollis on 07903806438 (or you could just ask him for further details).
