Kirkby Lonsdale v Orrell u9

Orrell under 9s paid visit to Preston Grasshoppers playing in 3 games, including Kirkby Lonsdale as visitors.

With all kids recognising the 11am minutes silence, remembering 100 years since the end of the great war, it was a great positive start for a morning of rugby.

All the kids enjoyed the games played, Orrel'ls Archie gaining players player for driving forwards along with Jack receiving a medal for his discipline and positive attitude. With some mixed players volunteering for opposition, team mate Nathan showed super tackling and with Edwards running constantly breaking their defence, along with power driving from Louis, Harrison, Matthew and Anthony.

Orrell showed great breaking play from Luke and Zaac and with all the kids improving on passing, it was a fantastic spectacle for all the supporters.

Well done to all the guys on a great morning of rugby. The future is definitely black and amber with these guys.

If anyone would like to come along and have a go, Orrell RUFC have teams ranging from U7s to U16s and train on a Wednesday night (St John Rigby for our mini and U13s) and play on a Sunday morning. All children of any age or ability are welcome. Find out more at www.orrellrugbyunion.com
