2. Ben Partington
3. Jake Hattersley
4. Tom Bower
5. Phil Woods

9. Alex Dixon
10. Gabe Mault

14. Tom Campbell

With no starting subs against a big Fleetwood side (in size and numbers) the boys knew that they needed to start strong to gain an early upper hand.

To be honest, with boys returning to the side from a few seasons ago, debutants and lads playing out of position in their first game of the season I expected the lads to be a little rusty. Yeah ok........I got that one wrong!

Our boys were out of the traps like Lions from minute 1 and following some impressive ball carrying and rucking from the pack and great hands from the backs the lads found themselves comfortably 26-9 points up at half time thanks to tries from Dylan, Kallem and the consistent boot of Gabe.

I was really impressed with the pack today. Our front five of Tom D, Ben P and Jake H grafted all morning creating momentum and go forward rugby driving the away team defence backwards. Our opposition simply couldn't cope with you boys, well done. Locks Tom B and Phil W provided the power in the scrum and did the hard graft on the floor. A great 4/5 performance. Our back row of Dasos, Ben T and Kris G were awesome. Boys I lost count of how many rucks you hit and your turn over rate at the break down was impressive.

Our back line performance today was as good as I've seen in the time I've been coaching this side. Alex won the battle of the 9s all day long. Gabe's kicking from hand and ball distribution performance was outstanding. The centre partnership of Kallem and Ellis P was a joy to watch and our wing partnership of Dylan and Tom C will be the subject of many an opposition side nightmare this season. Big and fast!

Matty W was kept busy from a predominantly kicking opposition but his safe hands under the high ball and lightening pace got us going forward every time. His line out work was also outstanding!

And then, at 45 minutes the amber and black cavalry arrived! Tom Lee, Zac Houghton, Jos Appleton, Rio Smith and Harry Parkinson arrived to give some tired legs a much needed break. Huge respect for you boys following your earlier league games to turn up to support the team. Thank you.

Tries from Dylan, Kallem, Dasos and Harry. Conversions from Gabe and Zac.
Forward of the match - Tom Dutton. You frightened ME going forward today! Well done that man.

Back of the match - Gabe Mault. For his intelligent distribution and kicking game.

Man of the match - Kallem Rodgers on his debut. I lost count of the amount of spectators asking ' who's that lad?' A great debut for Orrell. Well deserved.

Well done boys. Great start to the season.
