Our speaker this year is Simon Shaw - a name that is renowned across the rugby world as he towers over most mere mortals at 6’8. Simon has represented England at various levels including students and Under-21s. He played for Bristol at 17. Simon was picked for the successful 1997 British Lions tour to South Africa. During the 2000 Six Nations Championship, he had to step in for the injured Martin Johnson. He earned his 20th cap during the 2003 Six Nations Championship, a tournament which saw England win the Grand Slam Simon was called up to the squad for the 2005 British and Irish Lions tour to New Zealand after Irish lock Malcolm O'Kelly aggravated a groin injury in training. Simon was selected as a member of the England 2007 Rugby World Cup squad and played the full 80 minutes in the 2007 Rugby World Cup Final.

Simon is joined by Peter Scrivener. In a 12-year career, Peter Scrivener played over 120 games for Wasps and represented the England A and Sevens teams. Peter will be supporting our event this year as MC and Auction Master.

Then there is the ever-famous Pete Emmett – who needs no introduction – as one of the funniest, nicest people in the business. Pete will be entertaining us with stories, jokes and interviews with our celebrity speaker and MC.

It’s going to be a great evening, so don’t miss out. Apart from a great evening’s entertainment, you will be helping the club in its ambitious goal of building our own home and pitches! What more could you ask for?
