With 3 games played within the morning, it was a tough test for all the young ones after a couple of weeks of chocolate and Christmas celebrations.
Both teams did great and with Orrell’s captain Finley showing leadership and persistence, gaining him the players player trophy, along with colleague Louis. Finlay demonstrated a real passion for attack, which ensured a medal.
Well fought by all players, with superb tackling from Orrell’s Nathan, George, Luke and Edward keeping Warrington at bay as much as possible. Nifty footwork from team mates Adam, Jack and Zaac ensured the attack play was continuous. With their ever increasing confidence Matthew and Harrison showed they can mix it up against the opposition. Finally, with some new moves, now known as The Archie Swoop, supplied by Archie himself to complete a fun morning of rugby for all the kids involved.
Why not consider trying it out? Training for Orrells girls and boys u7s to u13s at St John Rigby College Astroturf field Wednesdays 6pm-7pm. Everyone is welcome and it’s great fun!
