Another winning weekend of rugby here at Orrell RUFC

Another great and winning weekend of rugby here at Orrell RUFC. With both open age teams at home on Saturday; these were two all to play for matches for both teams. The 1XV battled through to claim victory; the 2XV powered home to a victory over Littleborough to remain top of the league.

Sunday saw our brave minis take to the field against Preston Grasshoppers despite the wind, rain, snow and sleet, nothing deterred them from playing some great entertaining rugby.

Last and definitely not least, our Orrell Anvils Touch Team only went and brought more silverware home for the trophy cabinet by winning the Bowl in the North West Development Touch Series Round 4.

Match reports and photographs will follow from the weekend shortly. You can read the 1XV Match Report by our Match Day Reporter Dave Parkinson here
