Operations Manager? Does that sound like something you can do/help our Club with? Please don’t be put off by the title – although this is a very important job, it should just take you a couple of hours per week.
So, what does the Operations Manager do?
Pitches
As we have no home of our own and utilize the schools in the area, the Operations Manager would be responsible for liaising with the schools to ensure home game commitments/dates can be met.
Liaison with the schools/groundskeepers to report or put in place maintenance of the pitches where required
Pitch Inspections on home match days
Match day
Access to the pitches and buildings
Cleaning (this is arranging of; not doing it yourself)
Exit and locking up of the facilities
After match facilities at Winstanley Tennis Club
Parking at the Tennis Club
Refreshment (booking not making it yourself)
Arranging bar staff with the Tennis Club
If this sounds like something you’d be interested in (and it can be more than one person on a rota basis); then please get in touch with either Tony Havlin (Chair) or Bill Lyon (President) for an informal chat.
Not quite sure you fancy this role; there are lots more volunteering opportunities with Orrell RUFC. For example, we need someone to help with putting out all our Sponsor Banners on match day; Programme Sellers; Tea/Coffee Assistants (during the match) and Post-Match Refreshment Assistants (at the Tennis Club)
