A PROUD ENGLAND HONOUR FOR BOB KIMMINS

A PROUD ENGLAND HONOUR FOR BOB KIMMINS

Tracy Monckton30 Mar - 10:15

There are some names in Orrell RUFC history that instantly mean something special — and Bob Kimmins is undoubtedly one of them.

Today, the club is delighted to celebrate the news that Bob has been officially awarded a full England cap for England’s match against Italy in 1990.

For those who know Orrell’s story, Bob’s contribution to the club needs little introduction. A formidable forward, a huge presence, and a central figure in one of the most memorable eras in our history, he represented everything that made Orrell so respected across the English game — toughness, pride, commitment, and uncompromising standards.

To now see that contribution recognised with a full England cap is a moment of real significance — not only for Bob and his family but for the whole Orrell RUFC community.

It is a proud reminder of the calibre of players who have worn the famous Black & Amber, and of the club’s long-standing place in the story of English rugby.

From everyone at Orrell RUFC, we offer our warmest congratulations to Bob on a thoroughly deserved honour.

A proud Orrell man. A proud England moment.
