End of Season Awards 2026

Tracy Monckton12 May - 10:00

A fantastic evening celebrating the players, volunteers and supporters who have made the season such a success.

Orrell RUFC Celebrate the 2025 Presentation Night

Players, coaches, volunteers, families and supporters came together on Saturday, 9th May for another fantastic evening at Orrell RUFC’s annual Presentation Night — a chance to celebrate the achievements, commitment and spirit shown throughout the season across the club.

A huge thank you goes to Sam Lloyd Joice, Pauline Lloyd and Rob Lee, for all of their hard work behind the scenes in organising the event and making the evening such a success. Events like these do not happen without an enormous amount of time and effort, and the club is extremely grateful for everything they do.

The evening recognised a number of outstanding individual contributions across the season, with awards presented to players and volunteers who have gone above and beyond both on and off the pitch.

2025 Award Winners

  • John-Joe Riley — Young Player of the Year
  • Hanley Liptrot — Most Improved Player of the Year
  • Ben Hodgkinson — 2nd Team Player of the Year
  • Craig Thomas — Forward of the Year
  • Adam Hunt, Back of the Year

  • Alan Stott — Clubman of the Year

  • James Otutaha — Player of the Year and inaugural recipient of the newly named Ste Huxley Award, presented by Geoff Huxley

  • A special mention must go to Alan Stott, whose Clubman of the Year award was richly deserved. Alan was recognised for his continuous hard work off the pitch, giving up his time completely selflessly to ensure the changing rooms are cleaned after games, the touchline is manned and the team is always looked after.

What started as simply coming to watch his son play has developed into Alan becoming an integral part of the support team — someone respected and appreciated by players and coaching staff alike throughout the club.

The evening was a fitting way to round off another memorable season for Orrell RUFC, celebrating not only performances on the field, but also the people whose dedication and commitment continue to keep the club moving forward.
