Today we have been informed of the sad loss of Des Seabrook, president, coach, player, FOP and dear friend. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his wife Di, son Jonathon & two grand children.

Des was one of the greatest driving forces behind the playing side of Orrell Rugby Union. As a player and club captain, Des was instrumental in Orrell becoming a major force in the North and in the resurrection of the Lancashire Cup. His leadership on the field was legendary and later as Club Coach and Director of Rugby, he was influential in Orrell remaining ever-present in National Division One. He coached England, The North, The North West Counties and Lancashire.
