Mini & Junior Success
There were excellent results across our Mini & Junior section this week, with great effort, teamwork and development on show throughout.
Full match results, photo albums and match reports are available on the website.
It is fantastic to see the continued progress across all age groups as the black and amber pathway keeps moving forward.

"Great match to watch, you can really see the effort and progression from them all. Thanks Neil and Rob, what a team - love the atmosphere (said one spectator)"

Open Age Update
Our 2nd XV return to the field this weekend, taking on Bolton 2XV.
Kick-off is 2.15pm at Winstanley College, with post-match refreshments at Orrell Red Triangle Cricket Club as usual.
We look forward to seeing plenty of support on the touchline.
Last weekend’s 1st XV fixture away at Bury did not go our way, but the squad will return stronger and determined as preparations begin for their next challenge — an away trip to Clitheroe on 28 February.

Training and Club Ethos
Training continues every Wednesday evening at St John Rigby College, with Minis and Juniors starting from 6.00pm.
From young players taking their first steps in the game to open age rugby and even dads and lads sharing the pitch, Orrell RUFC continues to be built on family, development and the black and amber legacy.
New and returning players are always welcome.

Welcome to Our New Coaches
We are delighted to welcome two new assistant coaches to our Mini & Junior section — one joining the U14s and one the U10s.
It is fantastic to see the section steadily growing, both in player numbers and in coaching strength.

Volunteers and Support
As a community club, we are always looking for volunteers — whether that is coaching at Mini & Junior or open age level, helping set up on match days, supporting behind the scenes or assisting in other ways.
No members, no club. Everyone has a part to play.
If you would like to get involved, please get in touch.
