ORRELL RUFC U10s & U11s
Two Teams, Plenty of Positives!

First of all, a massive thank you to everyone who turned out this morning. Both our U10s and U11s faced tough opposition, with their opponents already five games into their season. A special mention must go to Theo, Finn and Eli, who each played two full games to help their teammates out. Their commitment and willingness to step up for the team deserve huge recognition!

While the results didn't go our way, there were plenty of positives to take away from two determined performances.

U10s – A Promising First Outing

Our U10s took to the field for their first outing, with several new players in the squad and one loan player helping out.

As the morning progressed, so did the boys' appetite for the game. They began putting phases together, their passing became more controlled, and the back line started moving forward with greater confidence.

A special mention goes to Alfie, Thomas, Conal and George, who all dug deep and impressed on their first outing with the team.

George capped off a strong effort by scoring Orrell's only try, following some quick passing to finish beautifully in the corner. A great moment for him and the team!

Captain Eli also showed good leadership on the field, helping the boys grow into the game.

The foundations are being laid, confidence is growing, and the potential is there for all to see.

Well done, boys. A great starting point for the journey ahead!

U11s – Growing in Confidence

Our U11s put in a very similar performance, growing in confidence as the game progressed and showing real promise despite the result.

The boys crossed the line three times, with Leo grabbing two tries and Jack producing a beautiful dummy to create a memorable moment and round off a strong performance.

We also welcomed new lads Joey, Seb and Jack, who fitted into the squad well and looked sharp throughout. It's always encouraging to see new players settling in, getting involved and beginning to find their feet.

As with the U10s, there is plenty more to come from this group. Every period of play brought greater confidence, better understanding and signs of what this team can achieve as they gain more experience together.

Three tries, some great individual moments and plenty to build on. Keep going, lads!

A Special Thank You to Our Photographer!

A huge thank you to Eva at 4EvaMoments Photography for providing today's match day coverage!

For such a young photographer, these photographs are absolutely amazing! Capturing the action, the effort and the spirit of the game is a real talent, and we're incredibly grateful that Eva was there to record these moments for our players and their families to enjoy.

Thank you, Eva, for doing such a fantastic job. We look forward to seeing more of your work!

The Journey Continues!

A huge thank you to all our players, coaches and parents for your commitment and support this morning. A special mention to Theo, Finn and Eli for stepping up to help their teammates, and to every player who showed determination, teamwork and a willingness to keep going.

There were some fantastic individual moments, new players settling into their teams, tries to celebrate and, most importantly, growing confidence across both age groups.

With every game, these young players gain experience, build friendships and grow together as a team. There's so much potential in both groups, and we can't wait to see what the coming weeks bring!

Keep smiling, keep learning and keep enjoying your rugby, boys and above all Keep the Future Black and Amber.
