Match Report: Orrell U14s vs. Blackburn
Orrell U14s travelled to Blackburn today and were met with a very warm welcome. Things certainly hotted up straight away in the match, with Orrell going 7-0 up in the opening 8 minutes. Blackburn fought back valiantly, and the game rocked backwards and forwards in a true test of nerves.

Standout Performances
The match featured a brilliant mix of debut magic and veteran skill:
Our brand new player, Mason, proved to have supercharged legs, running in two tries despite having only played a few games of rugby at school. Not to be outdone, "old school" player Dan Mead struck back with three blistering tries. The forwards put in some devastating work, supported by intelligent phases of play from the backs and incredible kicking from our No. 10, Adam.
While the scoreboard kept ticking, the game was won in the trenches. Teddy and Tyler set the tone for the afternoon; their sheer determination and hard tackles blunted the Blackburn attack every time they gained momentum. Their physicality ensured Orrell stayed in the fight when the pressure was at its highest.

Blackburn looked like they might level the match until two "hard yard" tries finally settled the matter for Orrell. It was a mighty win by the lads, who played their hearts out from the first whistle to the last.
