A last-minute game arranged with Orrell under 13s, travelling to Stockport on Sunday 6th November.
Stockport provided great hospitality to the team, on and off the pitch with the game played in great spirt of the sport. Four quarters played, providing Stockport kids to play, as they had significant numbers in attendance. Stockport came out strong with Orrell taking a bit of time to get into the game. Push and striking in the scrums played a vital role, with Stockport showing their skills for the most part. Orrell's pack learning the scrum is an important part to gain possession and during the last 15 minutes won all strikes and pushes providing enough ball for the backs to run. The last 15 minutes is where Orrell really showed their team skills, super runs from Jack and Fin from back play was great to watch.
The forwards are starting to work as a pack, with better understanding of the rucks with great player clear outs from Matty and Edward with support from their teammates. Scrum half, Albert gaining in confidence with ball supply to Zaac and fed out to their wingers.
New starter, Max, playing roles in the forwards and then in the backs showing his colleagues he is part of the team, scoring a try. Man of the match, deservedly given to Nathan as he showed his tackling ability with confidence and running plays. Overall, a win for Orrell u13s.
