Supporting Grassroots Rugby — Why It Matters
Community rugby clubs like ours sit at the very heart of local sport. We provide opportunities for children, young people and adults to be active, make friends, learn life skills and feel part of something bigger than themselves. But behind the scenes, running a grassroots club takes a huge amount of work — and funding.
Unlike some clubs, we don’t own our own facilities. That means every training session, every matchday, every junior festival and every evening under the floodlights comes with hire costs attached. Quite simply, if we don’t raise funds, we can’t operate.
That’s why fundraising isn’t just something we do occasionally — it’s an essential part of keeping the club going.
How We Fund the Club
We’re incredibly grateful for the support we already receive through a range of activities across the season:

We’re also excited to be launching a brand new lottery soon, alongside the 200 Club, giving even more opportunities for supporters to get involved, win prizes and contribute to the club’s future.
Our Sponsors — Big or Small, It All Matters
We’re also incredibly fortunate to have the support of sponsors who help in many different ways.
Whether it’s businesses who have stood alongside us for years, companies sponsoring teams or kit, individuals backing specific projects, or those who simply want to support something in the community from time to time — every single contribution makes a difference and we are incredibly grateful for the generosity and support.
Grassroots sport thrives on partnerships, and we’re hugely thankful to everyone who chooses to support the club.

Fundraising Without Spending Extra — Easyfundraising
One of the simplest ways to support us costs absolutely nothing extra.
We’re registered with easyfundraising, which turns everyday online shopping into donations for the club. www.easyfundraising.org.uk
Here’s how it works:

Get Involved — It All Makes a Difference
Running a grassroots rugby club really is a team effort (and we are all volunteers who just want to help) and the reality is that we simply couldn’t do it without the support of our wider club family — players, parents, supporters, volunteers, sponsors and local businesses.
There are lots of ways people help keep the club going, including:
And of course, we’re also incredibly grateful to those who choose to sponsor teams, kit, events or projects — whether regularly or just from time to time. Every contribution helps create opportunities for players of all ages to enjoy rugby in a positive, welcoming environment.
Quite simply — it all adds up.
Coming Together as a Club Community
Fundraising isn’t just about money. It’s about creating experiences, opportunities and memories for everyone involved in the club.
We’ve already been blown away by the generosity of supporters who have donated some fantastic items… Which is why we’re excited to say…
Our next online auction will be launching very, very soon.
There will be some brilliant opportunities to bid, win something special, and support the club at the same time. Keep an eye on our website and social channels — you won’t want to miss it.
